“Violence & Poison”

There you go,
Sliding like a blade in my eyes
And I can’t seem to find
A way out of the path that you’ve lined
When all you left was a lie
Trapped inside of a kiss;
All I got was a slut
Tattooed upon my skin

And now the romance is dead,
I don’t need to confess
Although I’m standing on the rooftop
With my feet on the edge.
When all that mattered got lost,
All you see is a ghost;
You’ll find me standing
On the top to watch you fall and

Fight all of the poison that you spit in my veins
And all,all of the violence that I’m still bleeding.
When the world won’t believe a word you’ll say
I’ll be back to my friends and to my truth.
When you’ll look in the mirror and see your shame
I’ll be trying to recall your name but forgetting you.

There you go,
Fading like the letters I wrote
And I can’t wait to see you begging
For the soul that you sold
When all you left was a life
Trapped inside of a dream;
All I got was a killer
Waiting across the street

And now the romance is dead,
I don’t need to confess
Although I’m standing on a ladder
Saying goodbye to the past.
I wish I could say I miss
All the things that we did;
If only I could be the liar
That you’ve been through the years.
