“Mihaly Csikszentmihaly”

I’ve lost my smiles,
Postponed my tears,
I’ve glued a note upon the fridge,
It says “I’ll be back
When someone reads this.”
I breastfeed my OCD,
My doctors say I need no pills
But four weeks of lobotomies
And my imaginary girlfriend
Broke up with me again
So why do I keep sending flowers
To my address?

I don’t know
If I’ll go back home, tonight
‘Cause nobody did the dishes
And nobody missed me.
I don’t know
If I’ll go out, tonight
‘Cause nobody washed my blue jeans
And nobody cares, after all.

I’ve lost my mind
And sued my dreams,
I’ve thrown a bottle to the sea,
The note inside reads “Come here.”
And I’m a burden to my feet,
I’m laying talking about me
But my psychologist
Is cutting both his wrists
And automatic doors at malls
Don’t open for me
And I’ve never been kissed,
My parents used to high five me.

I don’t know
If I’ll go back home, tonight
‘Cause nobody did the dishes
And nobody missed me.
I don’t know
If I’ll go out, tonight
‘Cause nobody washed my blue jeans
And nobody cares, after all.
